Polaris provided overall Project and Construction management. The Polaris team carefully sequenced and coordinated engineering, procurement, fabrication and field installation to meet the schedule requirements. All engineering, procurement and fabrication was executed in house. In the field, the mechanical trades were self-performed, while specialty contractors were managed and subcontracted by the Polaris team. Polaris developed commissioning and start up procedures in house and remained on-site in an advisory capacity through start up.

Managing Cost and Schedule

Working with the Client, Polaris helped guide the business plan toward the light, low sulfur crudes abundantly available in the region. Designing the refinery for this crude slate reduced the amount of unfinished product and avoided the cost of additional process equipment and higher metallurgy needed for heavy and/or sour products.

Polaris engineered, fabricated and safely installed the refinery in 14 months from the signing the EPC contract to mechanical completion of the refinery. A key factor in the project execution, was the ability of the Client and Polaris to work together early in the project to agree on long-lead time equipment and initiate the procurement process.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/4″][vc_column_text] Scope of Work

Full EPC, Processing Unit

Schedule

March 2019 – June 2020

Market

Refining, Oil & Gas

Location

Southeast Texas[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][/vc_section]

[vc_section][vc_row][vc_column width=”3/4″][vc_single_image source=”featured_image” img_size=”full”][vc_column_text]Concept to Completion – Grass Roots Crude Unit Our client desired to take advantage of crude oil available at advantaged pricing in his geographical area, refine it and market the products locally. Polaris was engaged to evaluate crudes and make an EPC proposal to deliver –as quickly as possible- a refinery design […]

["post-1029","project","type-project","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
